In seeking spiritual healing for a horrific and degenerative skin disease, Naaman general of the army under King of Aram, rejected Elisha the profits instructions because it did not meet his expectations and he got angry and "stomped off mad as hornet." (The Message 2 Kings 5:12)

It wasn't until Naaman's servant challenged him, questioning, "if the profit had asked you to do something heroic, wouldn't you have done it?  So why not this simple 'wash and be clean.'"  (The Message 2 Kings 5:13)

The law of God, divine Principle, is effective and considerable, current for meeting the needs for healing today.   It does however,  require humility and grace "in the sight of The Lord." (KJV James 4:10)

Many people try to control or manipulate portions of their lives with the expectation that they will effect a desired result.  Sometimes they are successful, sometimes that are not.  

If however, they wound begin each day with a purpose of giving grace and humility the proper place in all they think and do, God, divine Love will always supply the blessing, harmony will reign supreme and healing will result.   

Off I Go

Step by step we trust in His (divine Love). 

Step by step we sing His praise. 

On we go with the Holy Spirit to glorify in His name.

No object, friend or foe, can taint, deter or interfere with God's good word this day, hour or moment. 

Off I go in tenderness, grace and joy, created by divine Soul,

with open arms directed by Truth, peacefully awake.

Peace - 1

I am finding that peace is apart of our ministry of good and outreach that begins with our treatment of our most precious relations with our Father-Mother and ourselves. 

"The gates of this city shall be open. Let sinners then be encouraged to join to the Lord. Thou wilt keep him in peace; in perfect peace, inward peace, outward peace, peace with God, peace of conscience, peace at all times, in all events. Trust in the Lord for that peace, that portion, which will be for ever. Whatever we trust to the world for, it will last only for a moment; but those who trust in God shall not only find in him, but shall receive from him, strength that will carry them to that blessedness which is for ever. Ask Yourself

"God planned for us to do good things and to live as he has always wanted us to live.  That's why he sent  Christ to make us what we are."   Ephesians 2:10 Contemporary English Version

Whatever you think you have to put on yourself, give it to God.  Christ is ever near and made the Christ your dear and constant companion.  

Jesus showed us the way, in Christ, though Christ, and in that way we shall follow and rejoice.

Lean on "the sustaining infinite," divine Love, for "today is big with blessings."  (Science & Health with key to the Scriptures, p.vii.)

A sacrifice for holiness brings us closer to God and acknowledges the supremacy of the Holy Spirit.  Jesus "presented the proof that Life, Truth, and Love, heal the sick and the sinning, and triumph over death through Mind, not matter."  (Science & Health with key to the Scriptures, p. 54:14-17.)

Consider what matters, to you!  Then ask yourself, does it matter to Christ.

Christ matters!!!

Put Mind, God, before everything else; whatever. . . Divine Mind first.  

God first and last!

Christ first!

A Prayer for the Children of our World - You are Loved.

Dearest child of the world, you are loved, cherished and beloved.

Today you are heralded as the perfect child of God, as was yesterday and tomorrow!  

The beasts of doubt, anger, frustration, worry, anxiety, fear, discontent call on pain, suffering, muscles, nerves, criticism, lack of patience, to do their bidding.  You must admonish them with all your heart!

When they come knocking at your door, and they always do, see to it that you arm yourself with the power that “belongeth unto God,” divine Love.  [ Psalms 62:11 King James Bible ]

Love never fails!  Love is healing!  And, God is Love; divine Love; infinite Love; unconditional Love; unbounded, borderless, spirited, indefensible, peaceable, charitable and generous. 

Goliath’s rant and taunting at Saul’s army [ I Samuel 17, King James Bible ] went unanswered for 40 days until David stepped forward, clothed in his shepherds clothing, armed with his tried and true armament, the divine Principle of almighty God that had always served and protected him.  Believe that David had to meet the challenges of pain, suffering, and daunting odds against him but he persisted and met the demands that were presented to him.  

Divine Love is meeting the demands of the day!  You are being led by divine Mind each and every step of the the way.  

Divine Love is your shepherd [ Psalms 23 King James Bible, Science & Health with key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, Pg. 578 ] and is supplying you right now with your every need.  See the belief of pain and the threat of suffering as nothing more than Goliath ranting and raving, using fear, doubt, anxiety, human opinion, intimidation of the flesh, poor judgement, anger, frustration as attempts to slay it's victim.   

You are not a victim, you are not made up of brain, blood, bone and flesh [ Genesis 1:26 King James Bible & Science & Health with key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, Pg. 475 ]  but you are your Father, Mother, God’s perfect creation, cast in Soul, not body.  God is All-in-all and you are in His perfect care and consideration right here and right now!  

None but God, the one God, [ Exodous 20:3 ] “our Father-Mother, all-harmonious” [ Science & Health with key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, Pg. 16 ]  is protecting and governing you right here and right now!

 "Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ."  [ Galatians 4:7 ]

Nothing, evil, arrogance, hatred, human will, criticism, can take away your divine rights as God’s perfect child, right here and right now; to live, move and breath in harmony, grace, courage, peace and joy, all in accordance with the Holy Spirit, God.

LORD, don't hold back your tender mercies from me. Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me."  

Lord bring on all those tender mercies for each and every one of your precious children and shower them continually, directly, with abundant forgiveness.  

Direct me to receive your merciful, unfailing love and protect me, my family, community, region, world, uiverse. from the belittlement of human will, criticism, sarcasum and evil doings.  

Divine Love is merciful good, grand babtism in the Holy Spirit reaching, restoring, enlightening me, mine and all.  Bless your children!

Dear Father/Mother God,

Dear Father/Mother God,

that you are my God, divine Spirit and governing all that I am and do.  

Thank you for healing and answering my prayers.

Lying Lips

Psalms 31:1 (to ;), 18 (to ;)

"In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; . . . Let the lying lips be put to silence;" (KJV) (also listed in the Golden Text of mybiblesson.com)

Every time we place our trust in "Our Father/Mother God, All-Harmonious," (Science & Health with key to the Scriptures, p. 16) we enter the realm of the kingdom of heaven and nothing can counter the weight of Truth, divine Principle.  Life is not in matter and it never has been in matter for Life is God and God is All.  

Human opinion, events, circumstances, do not now nor have they ever been in charge of Life, God, nor the power that Life, God, is, for only Love is Life, God.  Aligning our thought with divine Spirit, negates the suggestions and supposed influence that is not in Spirit.  Jesus proved time and time again the power of divine Spirit over the claims of the body, human opinion and matter based logic.

So, think and act in accordance with the divine law of Love.   Shut the door on the "Lying Lips," and confidently rejoice in divine Truth, God. 

Exploring divine Soul

"In the scientific relation of man to God, man is reflected not as a human soul, but as the divine ideal, whose Soul is not in body, but is in God,- the divine Principle of man."  Unity of Good. p. 51

I love the word soul and it is particularly important in considering our view point towards others and our relations to them.  Keeping an articulate, spiritual perspective, continues a fresh and pro-growth attitude for future relations.   Broadening the human viewpoint is accomplished when the height, might and infinite power of divine Soul is front and center in all our activities. 

Standing with Daniel

How many times have I been undaunted in the face of overwhelming adversity?   Have I given into intimidation or been discouraged by what someone said?  Have I been disappointed by an outcome I had not expected or a series of events outside of my control?  

In fact this past week, I felt imprisoned by several instances that occurred in our family and to me personally.   I witnessed the events at our embassies and the rage that criticism and fear incited in the mobs.  I found myself feeling really disappointed and discouraged.

So, I was led to pray about these questions in conjunction with studying the story of Daniel found in the Christian Science Bible Lesson on Matter.  mybiblelesson.com

I discovered from studying Daniel that whomever conspires together can never intimidate, harm or influence me when I am committed to serving God, divine Love.  Aligning my consciousness with God, is the protection and sophistication that I need to defeat and defend against fear, intimidation and criticism. 

The poem I found from the Christian Science Sentinel was very helpful in uplifting my thought  and inspiring me to new thinking.


Standing

Spirit

I remember when I first started playing the guitar, I was amazed how experienced guitar players could sit down grab my guitar and tune it to sound perfectl and in complete harmony.  I am not exactly sure when I mastered that skill but I watch my kids faces when I pick up my instrument the way my instructor did and produce the same result.

Spirit is with me when I move from place-to-place.


Spirit is with me when I work.

Spirit governs me, right here and right now!

While praying this morning, I found these comforting words written by Mary Baker Ebby.

"In times like these it were well to lift the veil on the sackcloth of home, where weepeth the faithful, stricken mother, and the bruised father bendeth his aching head; where the bereft wife or husband, silent and alone, looks in dull despair at the vacant seat, and the motherless little ones, wondering, huddle together, and repeat with quivering lips words of strange import. May the great Shepherd that "tempers the wind to the shorn lamb," and binds up the wounds of bleeding hearts, just comfort, encourage, and bless all who mourn.

Father, we thank Thee that Thy light and Thy love reach earth, open the prison to them that are bound, console the innocent, and throw wide the gates of heaven."

Healing equates to Openness

On Wednesday evening I attended the Weekly Wednesday Testimonial meeting at Second Church of Christ Scientist in Fresno, CA.  The hyms were inspiring and I thoroughly enjoyed singing the healing words with the congregation.  

As the reader began her readings on Christian Healing from the New King James Version of the Bible, a theme for me began to be revealed, that Christian Healing equates to openness.

She began her readings with a scripture from Romans that posed the question, "What if some did not believe?" 

That got my attention and opened my thought to receive the Christ!

The Christ revealed to me through out the service, that God is the very source of openness at all times.  He is always open for me and every one of His perfect ideas.  

God is open for business, the business of Christian Healing.  The Christ is here and now and filling all consciouness with the healing power of the Holy Ghost. 

Yes, I felt and experienced the Christ as a result of attending this service and the readings the dear Reader had so thoughtfully put together to share with the congreagation.  I saw and experienced that this Church is alive with spiritual inspiration based on God centered activity and Christian Healing inspired by the Bible.

"I will publish the name of the Lord:"

(DIVINE NAMES:  IN all religious utterances, whether through prose or poetry, in pulpit or periodical, by preacher or pamphleteer, the name of Deity is of frequent recurrence. Perhaps one should say names, rather than name; yet each term but indicates some trait or element in Him whose nature is indivisible, whose existence is harmony.  

The name God, as we all know, is generally regarded as only another way of spelling Good. Not only has God the attribute of goodness, but he is Good, in the very essence of His being.  

"God is Love," says John; meaning not merely that God is loving, or has the attribute of love, but is Love; that is, Love is His nature.  The Bible calls God just, merciful, pitiful: but it nowhere says God is Justice, God is Pity, God is Mercy, as it says God is Love. In other words, as Love is the fulfilling of the Law, so is Love the fulfilment, or completion, of the divine omnipresence.  

Some of the old Pagan writers and poets call God by the name of Father; or rather they call one god by that title. Virgil speaks of Jupiter as the pater omnipotens, meaning the all-powerful Father, — not so much of mankind, or the universe, as the Father of other deities, — that is, the chief god among many. Christianity applies this term to God very differently, meaning by the phrase, "Our Father who art in Heaven," to indicate the spiritual relation which He bears towards His creation; not that the Creator is a Father in a fleshly sense, even of Jesus, as men are fathers, but that this imperfect epithet, as expressive of a tender and world-wide human relation, best shows what God is to man and the universe.  

Well does the writer remember first hearing God called the Great I Am, and being told that this was a phrase used in the old hymns; and in the first Sunday-school lesson-book the writer ever studied, there was this sentence, which excited much wonder, printed in this peculiar way: "God said: I AM THAT I AM." What does this mean? "I am that I am," or "I am because I am," or "I am what I am." This is an attempted English equivalent of the Hebrew word Jehovah, or Yahweh, and is really a proclamation of the eternal existence and supremacy of the Infinite One, who then and thus declared Himself to the open thought of Moses.) "They call me . . . . !'

God calls you his perfect idea!  His divine reflection made in his image and likeness.  


Everyday there is a new claim for the basis of a good and healthy life.  Eat this or drink that!  Do this or do that!


"The basis of all health,"  is that God is MInd.  Matter cannot be and is not MInd. 


NOTHING, can take from you, or rob you, of your divine rights given by God, proven by his chosen son Jesus as found in the Bible.  This truth belongs to you!  NOTHING, can discount it's effectiveness and your sweet embrace. God's Love is right here and right now!  And, Love governs you!


Divine Love is adaptable to meet the call of your prayer and acts in accordance with divine Principle soothing the way for all to act in peaceful agreement to perform properly the tasks divine Mind has instructed for them to do.  The body is not self-acting nor self-reliant but is agreeable to the only law truly governing, God, Spirit.  


Have a glorious day of Spiritual enlightenment!
